Flu Study

Are you experiencing fever, chills, cough, body aches, sore throat, or other flu-like symptoms? We are conducting the effectiveness of an investigational new drug to treat the flu. If you are between 12 and 65 years old, have a fever of at least 100.4° F, and suffering the above symptoms, you may be eligible. You must be seen within 48 hours of the onset of symptoms.

You will be compensated for your participation.

Diabetes Study

QLMC is investigating a potential once-weekly type 2 diabetes medication in the HARMONY clinical research program. To participate, you must meet the following requirements:

Have type 2 diabetes
Experience trouble controlling your blood-sugar levels
Be age 18 or older

Participants will receive close monitoring, as well as a complimentary sample of the study medication.

Healthy Person Trial

QLMC is seeking healthy volunteers ages 40-70 interested in participating in a Vitality Supplementation trial.

Subjects must be:

Nonsmokers
Not taking any medications for hypertension (or any thyroid medications)
Willing to discontinue use of any dietary supplement one month prior to screening
Willing to limit caffeine consumption

Other inclusion/exclusion criteria will apply.

Pre Menstrual Migraines

Do you suffer from headaches during your menstrual cycle?
Have you suffered at least two migraine headaches per month for at least three months or more?

If you answered yes to all of the above questions, you may qualify to participate in the ongoing research study of an investigational drug currently being tested for efficacy in the prevention of menstruation-related migraines

Pediatric Migraine

QLMC is seeking children suffering from migraine headaches to participate in a pediatric-migraine study. Participants may end up as candidates for either the single-attack or 12-month study. The age range we seek is over six to under17 years old, with a weight range of 40 pounds or more.

Participants must have a history of migraines as defined by this definitions and meet the following criteria:

Unilateral or bilateral migraine (with or without aura)
History of migraine attacks for more than six months
Report more than one but less than eight mild, moderate, or severe migraines per month for the past two months

Participants should not have:

Mild migraines that resolve spontaneously in less than two hours
Basilar or hemiplegic migraines
More than 15 headache days per month
Taken any medication for acute headaches10 or more days per month during any of the three months
Poor response to migraine pain relief with NSAIDs or APAP treatment
The ability to stay awake at least two hours after the first dose of medication
Had major surgery in the past 30 days

Other inclusion/exclusion criteria apply.

Male Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD)

Are you a man who’s not in the mood for sex? Are you bothered by your lack of desire for sex?

We are seeking men age 25-64 with a low sex drive – who have been in a sexual relationship with the same woman for at least one year – to participate in a research study regarding male sexual desire.

If eligible, you will be asked to answer questionnaires and participate in a one-on-one interview to help us learn more about the way men experience sexual desire. This is a non-treatment, research-only study, comprising three visits over the course of one month.

Shingles (Herpes Zoster)

QLMC is seeking study candidates with acute Shingles (Herpes Zoster) to participate in the clinical trial of a new antiviral medication.

Participants must:

Be age 50 or older
Have a clinical diagnosis of herpes zoster (as evidenced by a rash)
Have pain associated with shingles
Not yet have received antiviral treatment
Be enrolled in the study – and receive their first dose of medication – no more than 72 hours after the first appearance of rash

Soft-Tissue Sprain/Bruise Study

We are actively recruiting study participants who have experienced soft-tissue injuries. This enrollment pertains to the test of an external patch, placed on the point of injury. This study is ideal for both amateur and serious athletes who may have experienced a soft-tissue injury. Candidates must be age 18 or older. There will be compensation for your time and travel.

Please note: You are required to contact and make an appointment with our office within the first 48 hours of your injury.
