Sandra J. Layman

Sandra J. Layman, MNS, ANP-C, is an expert in Sexual Medicine and a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who has practiced private medicine in Tucson since 1999. Upon obtaining her Nursing and Adult Nurse Practitioner master’s degree from Emory University in Atlanta,Georgia, she moved to Tucson to open her Sexual Medicine practice. The majority of her clinical experience has been in the areas of women’s and men’s health, as well as hormone replacement therapy, sexual medicine including hormone, erectile dysfunction, and female sexual dysfunction.

At QLMRC, Sandra has been involved in clinical trials for medications related to the following: hypogonadism, erectile dysfunction, female sexual dysfunction, overactive bladder, genital herpes, cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, chronic pain, and various vaccines.

In addition to her office clinic and research involvement, Sandra has developed educational classes in sexual health and awareness, and is a popular speaker at prostate-cancer support groups on the subjects of erectile dysfunction and hypogonadism.

Sandra is a member of the American Nurses Association, Arizona Nurses Association, American College of Clinicians, and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health. And, in addition to her other work, she is the Medical Mediator for the Tucson Herpes Support Group.
