About Quality of Life Medical Center

Healthcare has changed dramatically over the past 25 years. Chances are, you need more than a primary care provider today. You may also benefit from behavioral health services, dermatology, pain management, BioTE® hormone replacement therapy, aesthetic medicine, or the opportunity to take part in clinical research.

Quality of Life Integrated Medical Center was built to meet those changing needs.

Founded in 2000 by Dr. John McGettigan, what began as a new independent medical practice has grown into a multidisciplinary healthcare organization serving individuals and families throughout Tucson and Southern Arizona. Today, we bring together primary care, behavioral health, dermatology, pain management, aesthetic medicine, BioTE® hormone replacement therapy, and clinical research to make your healthcare more accessible and better coordinated.

Our Story

After practicing with a group medical practice, Dr. John McGettigan established Quality of Life Medical Center in 2000 with a vision of creating an independent practice focused on long-term relationships with patients and expanding access to quality healthcare in Tucson.

Clinical research has been part of the organization since its founding. Through the Quality of Life Research Center (QLRC), qualified patients can take part in clinical studies that contribute to future treatments while receiving close medical oversight.

As the healthcare needs of the community changed, so did the practice. Over the years, Quality of Life Medical Center added BioTE® hormone replacement therapy, dermatology, aesthetic medicine, pain management, and behavioral health, giving patients a wider range of care within one organization.

The practice grew in space and in people, expanding into a second building and a team of nearly 50. In 2025, the organization entered its next chapter, relocating to its current facility, a modern environment that supports collaboration between providers while improving the patient experience.

Today, Quality of Life Integrated Medical Center continues to build on the foundation laid in 2000: high-quality care that keeps pace with the community it serves.

Why Families Across Tucson Choose Us

Care That Works Together

Many health concerns are connected. Your physical health, mental health, preventive care, and specialty needs often improve fastest when your providers can coordinate your treatment. Here, your care comes from professionals working together toward one goal: your overall health.

Complete Care Under One Roof

You have access to a broad range of services, including primary care, behavioral health, dermatology, pain management, BioTE® hormone replacement therapy, aesthetic medicine, and clinical research opportunities through the Quality of Life Research Center.

A Commitment to Clinical Research

Clinical research has been part of our organization since 2000. Through carefully regulated clinical trials, QLRC helps advance medical knowledge while giving qualified participants access to investigational treatments that may not otherwise be available to you.
