Primary Care Services We Offer

Our Tucson primary care providers deliver a broad scope of services designed to keep you healthy, catch problems early, and manage ongoing conditions effectively. Rather than treating each visit as an isolated event, we build a long-term relationship with each patient and maintain a complete picture of your health over time.

• Annual wellness visits and comprehensive physical exams
• Medicare Annual Wellness Visits (AWVs) for eligible patients
• Blood pressure monitoring and cardiovascular risk assessment
• Cholesterol and lipid panel screening
• Diabetes screening and A1C monitoring
• Colorectal cancer screening coordination
• Glaucoma screening
• Routine prostate screening for men
• Depression and anxiety screening as part of every wellness visit
• Immunization review and administration

Chronic Disease Management

Millions of Americans live with chronic conditions that require consistent monitoring, medication adjustments, and ongoing support. Our primary care providers work with you over months and years to manage conditions including:

Diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2)

Managing diabetes effectively means more than checking blood sugar levels. Our providers develop comprehensive care plans that include medication management, dietary guidance, lab monitoring (A1C, kidney function, lipid panels), and coordination with specialists such as endocrinologists and ophthalmologists when needed. We also help patients navigate the practical challenges of living with diabetes, from understanding insulin regimens to making sustainable changes in daily habits.

Heart Disease and Hypertension

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States, and uncontrolled high blood pressure is one of its most common drivers. Our primary care team monitors blood pressure at every visit, orders and reviews cardiac labs, manages medications such as ACE inhibitors, beta-blockers, and statins, and helps patients reduce cardiovascular risk through diet, exercise, and smoking cessation support. For patients who require cardiology referrals, we coordinate care and maintain oversight of your overall treatment plan.

Thyroid Disorders

Thyroid conditions, including hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, affect energy levels, weight, mood, and metabolic function. Cindy Finch Benoy, FNP-C, has particular clinical experience in thyroid disease and treatment, making our practice well-equipped to diagnose, monitor, and adjust therapy for thyroid patients. We track TSH and free T4 levels regularly and adjust dosing to keep patients in their optimal range.

Other Chronic Conditions

  • Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Arthritis and joint pain
  • Chronic kidney disease
  • Obesity and weight management
  • Anxiety and depression (coordinated with our behavioral health team)

Acute Illness and Injury

When you wake up sick or get hurt, we want you to call us first rather than heading to urgent care or the emergency room when it is not necessary. Our primary care team handles a wide range of acute conditions, including:

  • Upper respiratory infections, flu, and COVID-19
  • Sinus infections and ear infections
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Skin rashes, infections, and minor wounds
  • Sprains, strains, and minor musculoskeletal injuries
  • Stomach flu, food poisoning, and digestive complaints
  • Allergic reactions (non-emergency)

We work to accommodate same-day or next-day appointments for acute concerns whenever possible.

What to Expect as a New Patient

Before Your Visit

Call or text (520) 733-2250 or Request an Appointment Online. Our front desk team can verify your insurance, answer questions about what to bring, and get you on the calendar quickly. You can also download and complete your patient forms ahead of time to save time at check-in.

Your First Appointment

Plan for a longer visit the first time. Your provider will review your medical history, current medications, family health history, and any immediate concerns. Depending on your age and risk factors, we may order labs or screenings during this visit. You will leave with a clear understanding of your health status and a plan for next steps, whether that is routine follow-up, additional testing, or a referral to one of our in-house specialists.

Ongoing Care

After your initial visit, we recommend scheduling your Annual Wellness Visit and any necessary follow-ups. Your provider and their clinical team will follow up on lab results promptly and are available by phone or through the patient portal for non-urgent questions between visits.
